We are seeking an experienced Project Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement activities for a major greenfield project in India. This role will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving project procurement execution, and establishing procurement foundations in the country.
What you will do:
- Develop and execute the project procurement strategy, plans, procedures, and approved vendor framework.
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for CAPEX and engineering projects, including sourcing, supplier qualification, negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance.
- Build and manage the Approved Vendor List (AVL), including qualification of new suppliers and contractors.
- Monitor project schedules and expedite supplier deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget project execution.
- Provide regular reporting on procurement activities, project spend, payment schedules, and delivery status.
- Support import equipment procurement, customs clearance, and government incentive programs where applicable.
- Establish procurement foundations in India, including Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, and direct and indirect sourcing strategies.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in CAPEX, MRO, project, or engineering procurement.
- Proven experience managing procurement spend of at least USD 50 million.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Experience in multinational organizations preferred.
- Food, ingredients, chemical, or manufacturing industry experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
