Capability Manager Life Cycle Engineering

Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the team as a Capability Manager Life Cycle Engineering.

You will be managing a Lifecycle Engineering staff team, setting the standard for and demonstrating key behaviours so to build an inclusive, diverse and high-performing team. You will be technically coaching and developing your team to thrive in delivering world-class technical service support with a responsibility to ensure use of the very best tools and processes.

The role reports to the Chief of Lifecycle Engineering and is a key role in the definition and delivery of world-class capability for Lifecycle Engineering.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will manage delivery of committed project goals and support activities as required by the Chief Life Cycle Engineer, as well as:

  • Lead a team of Life Cycle Engineers providing world-class technical support of in-service products by analysing their operation, pre-empting, reacting, developing, implementing & communicating technical solutions that meet customer, business & regulatory requirements.        
  • Provide technical guidance to life cycle engineers to ensure effective in service product support, compliance assurance and customer deliveries are provided in the right quality and on time.
  • Create and maintain load/resource plans to meet the overall delivery commitments
  • Ensure that sufficient resource is available to meet current and future business’ needs and budgets considering X- Product risk prioritisation.
  • Work with different sites, different functions and engineering suppliers to ensure optimal use of global resources.
  • Develop and transform the operational model that meets current and future customer and business requirements.
  • Carry out effective performance management to ensure that employees have relevant & appropriate objectives.
  • Lead and develop team member including individual and professional development, training, performance, reward management, HS&E and security.
  • Seek from best practice from/to Global Service Engineering, implementing process improvements and providing support to Communities of Practice to enhance the Function capability.
  • Lead and drive efficiency through process review, teamwork and implementing continuous improvement.

  • Understanding of Company Quality policies and processes deployed within the resource group.
  • Experienced in applying process improvement techniques and driving business improvements.

The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be Level C.
