Job Description and Overview: 
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and results-driven Canvas Manager to lead and manage our canvassing team for our fast-growing bathroom renovation company in Louisiana
The Canvas Manager will be responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, scheduling, and managing a team of canvassers who generate qualified leads and appointments for our bathroom remodeling sales team. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys working with people, thrives in a performance-driven environment, and understands the importance of consistent activity, accountability, and customer interaction. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Management
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new canvassers.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach the canvassing team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Recognize strong performance and address performance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Create a positive, competitive, and team-oriented culture
Field Operations: 
  • Develop daily and weekly canvassing schedules and territory assignments.
  • Manage field teams and ensure canvassers are actively working assigned areas.
  • Identify high-potential neighborhoods and territories for lead generation.
  • Conduct field visits to observe, coach, and support canvassers.
  • Ensure team members maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies, safety standards, and canvassing guidelines 
Lead Generation & Appointment Setting: 
  • Drive consistent lead generation and qualified appointment volume.
  • Establish and monitor daily activity goals, including doors knocked, conversations, leads generated, and appointments set.
  • Work closely with the call center and sales team to improve lead quality and appointment conversion.
  • Review lead and appointment performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase canvassing effectiveness
Reporting & Accountability:
  • Track and report individual and team performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records of canvasser activity, leads, appointments, and results.
  • Provide regular performance reports to management.
  • Analyze results and make recommendations for improving productivity and conversion rates
Training & Development:
  • Train new and existing canvassers on effective communication, customer engagement, and appointment-setting techniques.
  • Role-play common customer interactions and objections.
  • Continuously coach team members on improving their approach and results.
  • Keep the team informed about current company promotions, products, services, and sales initiative
Qualifications: 
  • Previous leadership, sales, canvassing, marketing, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience managing a field-based or door-to-door team is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to motivate and manage a team toward measurable goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and traveling throughout assigned territories.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and comfortable in a performance-based environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to use basic technology, including smartphones, tablets, CRM systems, and reporting tools.

The Canvas Manager will be measure on metrics such as:
  • Number of active canvassers
  • Daily and weekly canvassing activity
  • Leads generated
  • Qualified appointments set
  • Appointment show rate
  • Lead-to-sale conversion
  • Cost per qualified lead
  • Individual canvasser productivity.
  • Team retention and performance
