THE ORGANIZATION: Mi Familia Vota (MFV) and Mi Familia en Acción (MFA) are national Latino-led civic engagement organizations working year-round to strengthen democracy and empower our communities.

MFA, a 501(c)(3), focuses on nonpartisan programs such as citizenship, voter registration, voter education, and leadership development on key issues, including immigration, education, healthcare, voting rights, workers’ rights, reproductive rights, and the environment.

MFV, a 501(c)(4) organization, builds Latino political power through advocacy, organizing, and mobilization to ensure that Latino voices shape the policies that impact their health, safety, and prosperity.

Together, we operate one of the largest Latino civic engagement infrastructures in the country, with programs across eight states (Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida) and Washington, D.C.

Canvass Lead – Greeley, Colorado

Location: Greeley and surrounding Weld County communities
Employment Type: Temporary, Nonexempt
Schedule: Part-time or full-time opportunities available
Compensation: $22.00–$28.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Canvass Lead to provide day-to-day field guidance, coaching, and support to a team of door-to-door canvassers in Greeley and surrounding Weld County communities.

The Canvass Lead connects campaign strategy with daily field operations by coordinating team launches, assigning canvassing areas, reinforcing approved messaging, monitoring safety, and supporting accurate data collection and consistent community outreach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift launches and team huddles, communicate daily priorities, and distribute assigned canvassing areas and materials.

• Help canvassers access and properly use approved mobile canvassing applications, such as MiniVAN.

• Provide field-based coaching to new and existing canvassers by modeling effective, respectful community engagement.

• Reinforce approved scripts, voter-engagement practices, safety procedures, and performance expectations.

• Monitor field progress and help the team meet reasonable outreach, quality, and door-contact goals.

• Review field entries and contact results for accuracy, completeness, and data quality.

• Identify and promptly report data discrepancies, technical problems, performance concerns, or unusual field activity.

• Monitor weather, environmental conditions, and other potential field-safety concerns.

• Coordinate field supplies, materials, transportation logistics, and designated meeting locations.

• Support a respectful, inclusive, and professional team environment.

• Escalate employee relations, safety, or compliance concerns to the appropriate supervisor or Human Resources.

• Complete required reports and provide timely updates regarding field activities and team needs.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in canvassing, door-to-door outreach, field organizing, community engagement, or door-to-door sales.

• Strong verbal communication, coaching, active-listening, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to provide clear instructions and constructive feedback.

• Ability to communicate respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and viewpoints.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate field records.

• Dependability and the ability to report to scheduled shifts and launches on time.

• Proficiency with smartphones and field-based mobile applications.

• Reliable transportation to designated field staging and meeting locations.

Qualifications

• Some campaign and/or field organizing experience.
• Experience using VAN and knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. 
• Legible handwriting.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle, preferred.
