Principales Responsabilités.
GE Vernova est un manufacturier opérant mondialement et offrant une vaste gamme de produit dans le domaine de l’énergie à ses clients avec comme mission de les accompagner dans la transition énergétique. À l’intérieur de la division Hydro Amérique du Nord et au cœur d’une équipe de 20+ ingénieurs, le CPI ou Ingénieur collaborera à l’exécution de contrat de fourniture ou de réhabilitation de turbine et alternateur hydraulique. À l’intérieur de cette équipe le candidat travaillera sous supervision directe d’ingénieurs expérimentés couvrant principalement les projets service, le suivi à distance de l’exécution des travaux en chantier et la résolution des problèmes techniques en phase de garantie.
Tâches Techniques
- Conception et préparation de documentation technique.
- Collaborer avec les dessinateurs à la préparation des dessins techniques.
- Visite en chantier pour valider la condition de turbines et d’alternateurs hydrauliques.
- Faire des recommandations au client pour proposer des travaux additionnels suivant le démontage et l’inspection des composantes.
- Revu et approbation des relevés de montage.
- Traitement des non-conformités et résolution de problèmes.
- Participer à la préparation des soumissions pour les projets de type service.

Qualifications
- Baccalauréat en génie mécanique dans une Université reconnu par l’ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Disponible pour voyager occasionnellement en Amérique du Nord.

- Disposer des autorisations requises pour travailler au Canada. Avoir un passeport valide pour voyager aux États-Unis. Avoir un permis de conduire valide.
- Leadership, Créativité, réactivité, sens de l’urgence, capacité à prendre des décisions en s’appuyant sur des connaissances techniques, bon communicateur sont les principales caractéristiques recherchées pour ce poste.
- Connaissance des turbines et alternateurs hydrauliques, de leurs méthodes d’assemblage et de leur conception.
- Connaissances de la résistance des matériaux, calcul par la méthode des éléments finis, connaissance de la métallurgie et des procédés de soudage.

Main Responsibilities.
GE Vernova is a manufacturer operating globally and offering a wide range of products in the energy field to its customers with the mission of supporting them in the energy transition. Within the North America Hydro division and at the heart of a team of 20+ engineers, the CPI or Engineer will collaborate in the execution of contracts for the supply or rehabilitation of hydraulic turbines and alternators. Within this team, the candidate will work under the direct supervision of experienced engineers mainly covering service projects, remote monitoring of the execution of work on site and the resolution of technical problems during the warranty phase.
Technical Tasks
- Design and preparation of technical documentation.
- Collaborate with draftsmen in the preparation of technical drawings.
- Site visit to validate the condition of hydraulic turbines and alternators.
- Make recommendations to the customer to propose additional work following the dismantling and inspection of the components.
- Review and approval of assembly reports.
- Handling non-conformities and resolving problems.
- Participate in the preparation of submissions for service-type projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a university recognized by the Order of Engineers of Quebec.
- Available for occasional travel to North America.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. GE provides high-quality services to customers/clients located across the globe and the employee must be able to provide services in an efficient manner aligned with the standards of excellence of the company.
- Have the required authorizations to work in Canada. Have a valid passport to travel to the United States. Have a valid driver's license.
