Hearst Television is seeking a Campaign Specialist to be responsible for executing, optimizing, and reporting on digital advertising campaigns across a variety of channels. This role ensures that campaigns deliver against performance goals, meet client expectations, and leverage best-in-class targeting, creative, and measurement tactics. This role reports to the Senior Campaign Manager. This role requires in-office presence. The work location is in Charlotte, NC, at the Hearst Service Center.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Management
- Coordinate with internal and offshore trafficking teams to set up, launch, and manage campaigns across multiple ad servers and DSPs.
- Oversee trafficking, QA, and pacing to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Troubleshoot campaign issues (tracking, tags, pixels, discrepancies, and pacing) and coordinate resolution with trafficking teams as needed.
- Collaborate with local sales managers and station leads through regular check-ins to review campaign pipeline, pacing, performance, and address day-to-day questions.
- Provide technical support across products, including On-Site, Audience Extension, Social, and Native.
- Monitor daily performance and implement optimization strategies to improve KPIs (CTR, CPA, ROAS, video completion rates, viewability, etc.).
- Deliver strategic insights and optimization recommendations aligned with client objectives, and work with trafficking teams to execute changes.
Reporting & Insights
- Produce weekly and ad hoc performance reports with insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.
- Present results to internal teams and clients with clear, data-driven narratives.
- Identify and disseminate learnings that inform future campaign strategies and proposals.
- Partner with Finance and Operations to support monthly billing and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience managing digital advertising campaigns.
- Proficient with major ad platforms Google Ad Manager (GAM), Meta, DV360 or other DSPs, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills, including comfort working with metrics, dashboards, and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Experience with trafficking, pixels, UTMs, and third-party tracking tools.
- Excellent communication and project-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with brand-safety tools, verification platforms, and attribution systems.
- Agency, publisher, or large media-organization experience.
- Understanding of SEO/SEM, social strategy, and content marketing.
