As a Camp Group Supervisor, you’ll oversee a group of campers and staff, lead daily activities, and ensure a safe, engaging experience for all. Lead and supervise a group of campers and staff, ensuring safety and engagement

Maintain proper staff-to-camper ratios and oversee daily operations

Plan and implement recreational, educational, and creative camp activities

Follow curriculum and ensure counselors stay on track

Build positive relationships with campers, families, and staff

Participate in field trips and daily activities (swimming, wellness, etc.)

Maintain records and documentation (incident reports, attendance, etc.)

Ensure program standards for safety, cleanliness, and quality are met

Handle challenges professionally and follow YMCA policies and procedures

Attend trainings, meetings, and support overall camp operations

Must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma required (some college preferred)

Previous experience working with children (camp experience preferred)

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage both youth and staff

CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (within 90 days)

Ability to work outdoors and stay active throughout the day

Comfortable leading activities including swimming and group programs

Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle challenging situations

Reliable, energetic, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work full camp season (limited time off allowed)

Skills Required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma
- Some college
- Previous experience working with children
- Camp experience
