Who are CloudNC?
CloudNC is transforming global manufacturing with AI that accelerates CAM programming, maximizes factory output, and empowers machinists to deliver more.
Our core product, CAM Assist, speeds up CNC machining by tackling the most time-consuming and repetitive parts of the process, from machining strategy to toolpath generation.
It enables machinists to create effective programs in minutes, unlocking their full potential and helping shops increase throughput and improve consistency.
Today, CAM Assist is trusted by over 1,000 machine shops around the world to enhance their teams’ productivity, resolving skills shortages and helping them to deliver efficiently for their customers.
Founded in 2015, CloudNC consists of a world-class team combining expertise in computer science and physical manufacturing, based in our headquarters in London and our factory in Chelmsford.
The technology company is backed by leading venture capital firms Atomico and Episode 1 Ventures, alongside Autodesk and Lockheed Martin as strategic partners.
The short version
You will be responsible for analysing parts for suitability for use on CAM Assist from our potential customers. You will be responsible for preparing them for technical demonstrations, using defined workholding strategies, or interpreting the best-case solution for that part. You will be responsible for supporting our existing customers with programming issues whilst using CAM Assist. You will be responsible for driving insights from reviewing parts into our Product Management team to strongly influence the roadmap and direction of CAM Assist
What CAM Assist is
AI that writes CNC toolpaths inside the CAM software programmers already use: Mastercam, Fusion, Siemens NX, GibbsCAM and SolidCAM. Work that takes hours takes minutes.
Our customers are precision manufacturers, and they buy it because the time saving is obvious. What sits between signing and seeing that saving is that this is a new product doing something new, on top of the ordinary friction of getting software set up and configured for how that shop works. Closing that gap quickly and repeatably is this job.
What you need to bring
  • Ability to work at speed without compromising accuracy & detail.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • 3D drawing/programming experience.
  • Experience in ideally 2 of the following Mastercam 25 or later (5+ years), Autodesk Fusion, Siemens NX (2212 or later), GibbsCAM, SolidCAM
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience in building relationships with customers and stakeholders

The job
  • Assess part suitability for CAM Assist to determine whether a technical demonstration should be undertaken.
  • Prepare the part in appropriate workholding and brief the individual leading the demo on the choice of strategy.
  • Generate toolpath outputs using CAM Assist, making the appropriate modifications to understand if the part is suitable for the product.
  • Where CAM Assist fails, feeding that part information into the product management team to understand future development
  • Assist live customers with the issues they have with CAM Assist, guiding them in best practices.
  • Troubleshooting any technical demo issues and helicopter technical support.
  • Advise on best practices for delivering technical demos.
  • Onboarding specialist clients
  • Producing tutorial and guidance content for customers
  • Generate toolpath design, model preparation and continuous improvements within CAM Assist.
  • Advise on best practices for tooling, design concepts of fixtures or work holding components, and machining strategies
  • Mentor/train sales team members
