Maxim Healthcare is looking to hire a Clinical Supervisor for an internal position within our office in Mountlake Terrace, WA. This position is full-time, 40 hour a week position.


The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical oversight from admissions through discharge of clients and patients served. This oversight will include supervision of care management as required by regulation or contract and personnel management associated with the clinical delivery. The Clinical Supervisor is accountable to all federal, state, and local contracts and programs, and Maxim requirements, and where applicable or required by state regulations may be the Administrator.

The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for the orientation and ongoing evaluation of caregivers. Critical to this role is the assurance of clinical skills and competency of caregivers. This position will include ongoing caregiver development through education and training under the direction of the Clinical Manager or other office clinical leader.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate orientations and competencies for new hires.
  • Onboarding of new Direct Care Staff from initial clinical interview to first shift started to include management of ongoing competencies, training, shadow shifts, etc.
  • Assist DOCS with referral management, working with recruiters to staff admissions with appropriate Direct Care Staff.
  • Compliance Issues: Assist office leadership with any compliance issues as directed. Complete interviews, incident reports and grievances as needed. Keep leadership and staff up to date where appropriate.
  • Planning and implementing Direct Care Staff Education Program to include monthly in-services, continued education on Policy and Procedure changes and other educational opportunities as directed by DOCS.
  • Manage and track Novice Nurse Program, Adult to Peds Program.
  • Manage and complete in-office annual competencies, TBs, etc. for current employees.
  • Manage and complete eCAVs/ Patient Specific Orientations as appropriate.
  • Review of clinical notes and update weekly and quarterly tracking graphs. Communicate required education to Direct Care Staff.
  • Identifying trends related to documentation review and trends in processes. Creating and monitoring action plans.
  • Monitoring KQIs: re hospitalizations, missed shifts, staff retention, etc.
  • Once an action plan is determined, working with office leadership, enter data in QI Action Plan site and monitor monthly. Update staff on issues/trends and document changes and update effect of changes.
  • Review action plans at the end of each quarter and update data where appropriate.
  • Complete quarterly self-audits.
  • Determine and monitor new action plans from results of self-audits, compliance audits and state audits, etc.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Educate and incorporate into action plans.
  • Keep an ongoing folder with all information for each action plan.
  • Take clinical on call as needed.
  • Coverage for DOCS when out of the office.

  • Active Washington State RN License
  • 1 year of experience as an RN
  • Must meet all federal, state, local contract and program requirements, in addition to internal certifications and training, as required
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in quality management preferred
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
