The On-Call Valet Parking Attendant is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and professional valet services to guests, clients, and visitors. This position requires flexibility in schedule, as assignments are offered on an as-needed basis. Valet Attendants ensure the safe and efficient parking of guest vehicles while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival and departure.
- Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and efficiently in assigned areas.
- Open doors and assist guests with luggage or belongings as needed.
- Maintain proper key control and vehicle tracking.
- Follow company procedures regarding vehicle handling, documentation, and damage reporting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Communicate effectively with other team members, supervisors, and management.
- Provide accurate directions and information about the property or surrounding areas.
- Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns or emergencies.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Remain on-site and available for duration of shift, ready to be dispatched as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods and work in outdoor environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be dependable and responsive to last-minute scheduling needs.
- Excellent communication, guest service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail ability to handle stressful situations with poise.
- Ability to meet physical requirements (lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds, carry up to 10 pounds.
- Friendly, energetic, well-groomed professional appearance and demeanor.
- Prior valet or hospitality experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Prior experience in valet, hospitality, or customer service roles.
Working Environment:
- Outdoor setting with exposure to weather conditions.
- High guest interaction and fast-paced environment.
- Frequent lifting, bending, and walking/running.
