Join our Development team during the busiest and most inspiring time of the year. We are seeking an On-Call Gift Processor to support our fundraising efforts during the holiday giving season. In this role, you will help ensure charitable contributions are processed accurately and promptly, providing donors with a seamless and meaningful giving experience.

Responsibilities include processing and recording donations, generating receipts and acknowledgments, maintaining donor records, and supporting the timely and accurate administration of gifts.

The ideal candidate will have experience in gift processing, data entry, administrative support, or a related field. Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT or a similar donor database is preferred. Successful candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to accuracy.

Qualifications

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Accurately process and record charitable contributions, including checks, credit card gifts, recurring donations, online gifts, matching gifts, and other forms of revenue in Raiser's Edge and Raiser's Edge NXT.
  • Generate gift receipts and donor acknowledgements in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with IRS requirements and organizational standards.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation and audit trails for all gifts received.
  • Review gifts for accuracy, completeness, coding, campaign attribution, and donor intent before processing.
  • Assist with gift batch balancing, daily deposits, and month-end reconciliation activities in partnership with Development and Finance staff.
  • Maintain accurate donor and constituent records, including updates to contact information, relationships, and communication preferences.
  • Prepare acknowledgement letters, receipts, and donor correspondence for electronic distribution and mailing.
  • Adhere to internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and data security standards when handling donor and financial information.
  • Assist with year-end giving activities, donor stewardship efforts, and special fundraising campaigns.
  • Provide administrative support to the Development department, including filing, document management, special projects, and event support as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with Development and Finance staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Knowledge

  • Associates Degree or combination of education and relevant experience. 
  • Understanding of charitable gift accounting principles, donor stewardship practices, and nonprofit fundraising operations.
  • Familiarity with IRS substantiation and receipt requirements related to charitable contributions.

Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • One or more years of experience in gift processing, fundraising administration, data entry, accounting support, or related administrative work preferred.
  • Experience with fundraising and relationship management database tools such as Raiser's Edge NXT or equivalent CRM.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to process high volumes of transactions while maintaining quality and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Skill and ability to produce consistent results and achieve goals and objectives.
  • Commitment to providing excellent donor service and supporting the organization's mission.
  • Passion for serving seniors in our community.

Any satisfactory combination of experience, training and/or education that ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above qualifications.
