Dexis is seeking a highly experience Strategic Advisor to support our capture and business development efforts for upcoming opportunities with the U.S. Department of State’s (DOS) Bureau of Political-Military Affairs (PM). The Advisor will play a critical role in refining our understanding of the client landscape, validating opportunity parameters, and facilitating strategic introductions to key stakeholders within the PM bureau and relevant incumbent organizations.
This is a high-impact, short-term engagement for an individual who understands the operational and technical dimensions of government security assistance programs, including Foreign Military Financing (FMF), International Military Education and Training (IMET), and Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation (AM&E) program elements.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic insight into the organizational priorities, structure, and decision-making processes within the PM bureau.
- Advise Dexis leadership on client engagement strategies specific to security assistance.
- Identify and facilitate introductions with relevant stakeholders throughout the capture and bid process.
- Validate programmatic direction, potential scope, and customer expectations for the anticipated opportunity.
- Participate in periodic strategy sessions and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the pre-solicitation, capture, and bid phases.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with or supporting DOS, with deep familiarity with the PM Bureau and the Office of Security Assistance (SA).
- Demonstrated track record of engagement with senior-level PM/SA personnel and contract leadership.
- Existing relationships within the PM bureau and/or with current contract implementers in security assistance or program support.
- Exceptional understanding of federal international security, security assistance, and military operations contracting environments.
- Prior experience advising capture or proposal teams targeting DOS contracts is strongly preferred.
- Discretion, professionalism, and a strong sense of integrity in facilitating client-facing interactions.
