The person should have strong background in Machine Design, good understanding on preprocessing, post processing . Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Describe the job’s key duties, responsibilities and activities in terms that enable anyone to understand what is required. Avoid using language or acronyms that are organizational-specific. Start by indicating the intended result of the activity.
- Scope and conduct Structural and Thermal, linear/non-linear (metals and plastics), design optimization analysis with limited domain guidance.
- Perform fatigue life calculations for LCF and HCF problems.
- Proven capability of working on assemblies with good complexity levels involving non-linearity and good hands-on knowledge on convergence resolution techniques.
- Solve coupled thermo-structural FEA problems & exposure to vibration and Explicit dynamic analysis will be added advantage.
- Provide insights on the product behavior under loading, confirm design feasibility & propose design changes to the product development team based on manufacturing processes knowledge.
Position Requirement
- Work with limited domain guidance in cross-functional team environment, global CAE team, engineering labs during product design and development cycle.
- Coordinate with global Technology teams in creating novel design solutions and strategic IP for Appliances Technology
- Proven ability of problem-solving skills, self-learning abilities and shown track record of technical excellence.
- Good communication skills to interact with stake holders and FEA team.
- Demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals in Machine design, Materials and modeling as required for FEA analysis.
- Knowledge of parametric models/tools (DOE, automation) for various structural and thermal analysis.
- Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to enhance simulation accuracy, reduce computational time, and automate routine tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 to 9 years of experience in FEA simulations (preferably for consumer appliances products).
- M. Tech / M.E degree in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent hands-on experience on Abaqus, Hypermesh & PTC Creo
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with a passion for learning and execution.
- Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Self-starting leader with limited guidance
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrixed organization in a global virtual environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work on at least 2 projects in parallel.
- Demonstrated ability in numerical simulation and clear presentation of analysis results.
- Passion and commitment for learning appliances domain, software, and execution
- Exposure to high end lab equipment in the field of mechanics and thermal
- Design experience in consumer products, automotive or other comparable industry
Working Conditions:
- Working from Bangalore office
- Weekend or Holiday access to workstation/ HPC to monitor and schedule the work.
- Frequent interactions with US stake holders and collaboration time of 3 to 4 hours per US time zone
- Occasional weekend work
