Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP operates and maintains facilities, systems, and associated grounds across Virginia and Maryland. As the CADD Specialist, you will provide advanced computer-aided design and drafting support for Intelligence Community (IC) facilities, infrastructure, and mission-support projects. This role requires expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a secure, highly regulated environment. The specialist collaborates closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to produce accurate, compliant, and mission-ready technical drawings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop, modify, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Prepare architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and site drawings as required
- Ensure all drawings comply with organizational standards, building codes, and IC security requirements
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to incorporate design changes and updates
- Maintain drawing databases, version control, and configuration management in secure systems
- Support design reviews, project meetings, and technical documentation efforts
- Assist with field verification, redlines, and production of final as-built drawings
- Safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with IC policies and procedures
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Certification in AutoCAD and Revit
- Minimum of 5 years of professional CADD experience, preferably supporting government or defense-related projects
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Demonstrated experience producing detailed construction documents, layouts, and as-built drawings
- Strong understanding of drafting standards, layering conventions, and document control
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
