JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain global 2D/3D CAD standards for CATIA users
- Maintain CAD standards documentation aligned with Business Operating System
- Drive design automation initiatives and knowledge-based engineering (KBE) solutions
- Troubleshoot CAD issues using structured engineering processes, document solutions as best practices
- Monitor CAD standards compliance and usage metrics
- Identify opportunities for improvement in CAD data exchange, automation, and macros
- Maintain and publish FAQs and knowledge repositories
- Support training material development for CAD/PLM best practices
- Collaborate with Development, IT, and Product Engineering teams for process alignment
- Define and implement BOM guidelines, coach engineering teams on best practices
Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Expertise:
- Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5 and V6
- Strong knowledge of Teamcenter PLM (CAD-BOM integration)
- Programming & Automation:
- Proficiency in developing CATIA Automations using CATScript, CATVBA, Python
- Experience in working with KWA workbench (Rules, Checks, Reactions) (EKL Programming)
- Experience in KBE, Power Copies, and standard part catalogs
- Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with AI tools for productivity (e.g., Copilot)
- Advanced video creation/editing skills for training content
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and deliver long-term solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Preferred:
- Exposure to OEM automotive processes using CATIA
