CAD Engineer Jobs in Andover at Stannah - Join Our Team!

We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced CAD Engineer / Drawing Office Engineer to join Stannah Lifts Limited in our New Lifts division based in Andover. This is a fantastic role for someone with a background in the lift industry who is keen to take ownership and make a real impact. Applicants should be based within a commutable distance of our Andover office.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in bringing projects to life — producing high-quality builder’s work drawings and ensuring seamless handover to manufacturing.

You’ll be a central point of contact, confidently handling technical queries from customers, supporting the Sales Team with your expertise, and getting involved in site surveys and customer visits.

We’re looking for a proactive, organised, and self-sufficient individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be engaging with stakeholders at all levels. A solid understanding of the construction industry is also key to success in this role.

To excel as a Drawing Office Engineer, you’ll need to confidently interpret engineering drawings and be highly proficient across a range of CAD packages. A keen eye for detail and a methodical, structured approach to your work will set you apart. Experience or knowledge of vertical transportation systems — including passenger lifts, platform lifts, goods lifts, and microlifts — is essential.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:15 and Friday 08:30 - 13:30

Drawing Office Engineer Responsibilities :

  • Produce builders work drawings and resolve issues with the customer
  • Issue instructions to the manufacturing teams and suppliers
  • Review the As Sold / Sales Selector Sheet, Survey and/or architect’s details
  • Communicate and clearly document all changes to the product to the customer
  • Work with the sales and operations Teams and scheduler so that any potential delays are picked up
  • Work with a small team to ensure the customer’s deadlines are achieved

Qualifications

Drawing Office Engineer Requirements:

  • Auto CAD 2017
  • Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of vertical transportation systems, i.e. Platform Lifts, Goods Lifts, Micolifts, Passenger Lifts.
