As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our team.  As a CAD Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of various products, ensuring precision and accuracy throughout the process. Responsibilities:

  •  Design and draft detailed plans, layouts, and specifications using CAD software.
  •  Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and improve product designs, considering functional requirements and manufacturing constraints.
  •  Create 2D and 3D models of products, incorporating accurate dimensions, materials, and finishes.
  •  Generate technical drawings, schematics, and construction documentation for fabrication and installation purposes.
  •  Conduct thorough reviews of designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, company guidelines, and customer specifications.
  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
  •  Participate in design meetings, providing technical expertise and contributing innovative ideas to optimize product performance and aesthetics.
  •  Maintain CAD libraries, templates, and documentation to support design consistency and standardization.
  •  Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in CAD engineering, and apply this knowledge to improve design processes and outcomes.
  • Adhere to established timelines and project schedules, managing multiple design projects simultaneously and ensuring timely completion.
  • Identify and resolve design issues or discrepancies, working closely with the engineering team to implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and consultants as needed to gather information and ensure accurate representation of design intent.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Engineer, Draftsman, or a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar), with the ability to create and modify complex 2D and 3D models.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials used in the millwork industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate conceptual ideas into accurate and precise technical drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design issues effectively.
  • Solid organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
