What You'll Do

As a Design Engineer, you will translate customer requirements into practical, manufacturing designs. You will work closely with sales, applications, and manufacturing teams to develop accurate coil designs and supporting documentation that ensure products meet specifications and can be efficiently produced.

  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models based on customer specifications.
  • Develop engineering designs that are optimized for manufacturability and production efficiency.
  • Interpret technical requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and revision records.
  • Collaborate with sales and applications teams to clarify customer needs.
  • Work with manufacturing to support production and resolve design-related questions.
  • Ensure designs meet quality, performance, and cost objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Need

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for 2D drawings and 3D modeling.
  • Experience creating engineering drawings and assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Experience with engineering documentation and revision control.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar engineering design tools.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience in HVAC coil design, heat transfer equipment, or sheet metal manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience working closely with both engineering and production teams preferred.
