What You'll Be Doing
Job Summary: Generally responsible for lending CAD support and completing CAD assignments for various disciplines and offices. This work will be performed under direct supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Reviewing and comprehending drawings from various disciplines before initiating drafting effort on any specific item. Understanding project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment.
Interpreting redline instructions reflected on marked up drawings.
Draft plans from various disciplines using design and drafting standards under direct supervision.
Develop cross divisional relationships, and provide HELIX support under direct supervision.

Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Illinois. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Hargrove’s total compensation package for Teammates. Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, skill set and location.
Minimum Salary: $25 per hour
Maximum Salary: $40 per hour
Education: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree in Technical Drafting or equivalent field of study preferred
Certification: Certification is not required at this level.
Experience: This position requires 10+ years CAD designer experience in oil/chemical manufacturing or related field required. Experience with engineering records administration function preferred. Must have expertise in reading, analysing, interpreting, and creating technical documents and CAD Drawings.
Require Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in AutoCAD 2020 or newer. Expected to become proficient in FastLook (ACAD viewer/markup software).
Must be experienced/proficient user of MS Office (esp. Excel, Access, Word), MS Teams, MS Sharepoint preferred
A valid driver’s license is required.
Physical Requirements

Skills Required
- High school diploma
- 10+ years of CAD designer experience in oil, chemical manufacturing, or a related field
