JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide CAD drawing support (SolidWorks Drawings) throughout the product development process.
- Generate and/or modify product’s models, drawings, and documentation.
- Identify problems or issues in CAD designs and drawings and provide corrective actions.
- Manage and control mechanical digital data files and drawings.
- Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders.
- Input data and manage hardware structures in a Product Data Management tool (SolidWorks PDM).
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates or Technical degree in Computer Aided Design or Engineering related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Computer Aided Design.
- Proficiency in using SolidWorks.
- Experience generating and/or modifying product models, drawings, and documentation.
- Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and product specifications.
- Comfortable with collaboration tools such as MS Teams, Confluence, and Jira.
- Ability to work well under deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- An eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Strong mechanical proficiency and general understanding of manufacturing (CNC, 3D printing, etc.) and mechanical assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of applicable government and industry standards including ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ASME Y14.100 (Engineering Drawing Practices), and its application techniques.
- Previous experience in supporting the design of electronic packages, ground structures, mechanisms, and/or composite structures.
- Aerospace or automotive electronics design experience.
Skills Required
- Must be U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations
