What you will do
Jump start your exciting career at Johnson Controls as a CAD Designer! Our Hattiesburg location is hiring a CAD Designer to provide full drafting responsibility from concept to customer shipment for our Custom Engineered Air Handlers. Your drawings will provide specifications for sheet metal and structural steel fabrication in manufacturing plants. In this role, you get to work on a variety of projects that range in both size and complexity. Your design sessions can take anywhere from 6 hours to 300 hours of detailing time, providing you with a sense of satisfaction when your designs are brought to life.

How you will do it
Utilization of CAD systems (Autocad and Inventor(Preferred), 2016 or higher) to develop design documentation in 2D and 3D environments.
Preparation of bills of material utilizing computerized BOM system
Knowledge of drafting room procedures such as retrieving and applying information from various purchasing and manufacturing specifications.
What you will need
Associate degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related science. 4+ years of experience in lieu of Associates degree
Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and/or Solidworks.
Open to working overtime when needed
