This fully remote, part-time position offers flexible hours (2–32 hours per week) and the opportunity to work with industry leaders on innovative, highly technical projects. If you’re detail-driven, collaborative, and motivated, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
Participate in virtual design and coordination meetings, supporting projects from concept through completion.
Create and update highly accurate CAD drawings, including:
System schematics
Line and single-line diagrams
Rack elevations
Room layouts and routing plans
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and implementation teams to confirm project details and document:
Building and room layouts
Cable conveyance paths (conduit, tray, raised floor)
Power requirements and infrastructure
Plenum and non-plenum spaces
Signal and transport formats (e.g., 3G, 12G, IP-based systems)
Apply ASG’s drafting standards, cable color codes, labeling, and documentation best practices.
Assist with creating and reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure documentation accuracy.
Conduct quality reviews of designs to catch and correct discrepancies before installation.
Produce installation-ready wire lists, cable pull sheets, and final design packages for multiple teams.
Maintain red-line changes and incorporate field updates to ensure design accuracy.
Support engineering and integration teams, providing solutions to design-related questions throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all design documentation upholds ASG standards and industry best practices.
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, or a related technical field—or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 3 years producing CAD drawings for AV, low-voltage, or systems integration projects
Mastery of AutoCAD
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and related documentation tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sharp attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to thrive remotely
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of AV systems, signal flow, and structured cabling infrastructure
Familiarity with construction and installation documentation standards
Experience collaborating in fast-paced, fully remote teams
