You will work with our customers to bring NC’s AI into their engineering workflows, solving the strategic integration challenges across PLM, CAD, and simulation systems so they can design better products, faster. The work cuts both ways: a customer unblocked, and field experience built directly back into the product through features, tooling, and reusable integration patterns.
What you will do
Work directly with customers to understand their engineering workflows, constraints, and existing tools, translating that context into practical integration plans.
Connect NC to customer PLM, CAD, and simulation systems through APIs, scripts, and other automation mechanisms.
Automate engineering workflows and the associated data exchange, including where relevant the execution and monitoring of jobs across cloud or HPC environments.
Contribute to NC’s core product as a product engineer, turning field experience into features, tooling, and patterns that make future integrations faster.
Who you are
You are an engineer at heart who moved from mechanical/industrial engineering to PLM/CAD/CAE automation and software. You like understanding how engineering teams actually work, and finding practical ways to fix complex, manual workflows.
You are also a builder at heart. You get things working against rigid, poorly documented systems, reverse-engineering an API, scripting around a missing integration point, finding the path through when there's no official one. You write production-quality software, stay resourceful when the ground is ambiguous, and enjoy doing it side by side with customers.
Hands-on experience automating PLM and CAD systems through their APIs.
Experience writing software used in production or by other engineers.
Good knowledge of simulation workflows and data exchange (FEM, CFD, or CAE automation); deeper CAE or HPC experience is a strong plus.
Customer-oriented and motivated by on-site work. You communicate clearly with engineering teams and dig past the requested fix to identify the real problem worth solving.
Travel: Meaningful time on-site with customers (up to a quarter of the time), the rest hybrid with flexible hours. Proximity to the customer compounds into a direct, deep impact on both their process and the product. Lausanne (preferred) or Zurich based.
A world-class technology team that aims for excellence.
Competitive salary and rewarding opportunities as we scale.
A collaborative, multicultural environment where work is visible and recognized.
Professional growth alongside talented colleagues who share knowledge freely.
Global impact, helping customers shift to AI-assisted design.
Hybrid model (40% remote) and flexible hours.
