DEME is searching for a motivated senior Design Manager to reinforce the team overseeing offshore wind export and inter-array cable design. If you are an experienced professional with engineering expertise in the offshore wind cable domain, or relevant industry, this is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced team of professionals specialized in the successful delivery of design-build (EPCI) cable and balance of plant (BoP) projects. As a design manager, you will lead the design phase of our offshore wind cable projects and tenders. Together, we work on DEME’s vision of creating a sustainable future.Your responsibilities

Lead the cable design process aimed at delivering an optimal solution considering the full project life cycle, stakeholder requirements, and Client’s success criteria.

Interface with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and specialists for solving complex project challenges related to the design, fabrication, installation, and operation of offshore wind farms.

Provide engineering expertise and advice to support the successful execution of our offshore wind cable projects and tenders.

Support the commercial tendering process by reviewing tender documents and providing technical support to contractual Client meetings.

Assist in the selection and contracting process of third-party cable and cable protection system suppliers.

Initiate and maintain design management tools throughout various design phases, including a design time schedule, opportunity and risk register, design decision register, and design management plan.

Lead and/or support in a range of innovative internal research and development studies.
Your profile

Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical or Marine Engineering;

at least 5 years of relevant working experience;

team player demonstrating initiative and effective communication skills;

fluent in verbal and written English.
