This is a role within Market Operations team for Citicorp Finance India Ltd (CFIL), an affiliate of Citigroup. The role will report into the CFIL Operations head and will be part of the Backoffice operations team supporting the Market Business team. This would also require close coordination with other Operations teams to ensure a seamless front to back process and service offering. The job requires a good understanding of CFIL Market Business Products like Debenture & Commercial Paper Issuances/Settlements, Loans Process and their regulatory framework.
The Key responsibilities of the role would be
- Work on day-to-day core operational activities assigned by the team leads.
- Collaborate with business in launching new products and enhancing customer experience on evolved products. Provide tactical support to business on day-to-day basis.
- Deliver on must win battles of global market operations in terms of productivity and manual touch point reduction. At the same time, maintain pristine control environment.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and Citi policies. Work closely with Risk & control functions to identify and timely highlight any risks / or exposure to Citi franchise due to any decision for change / or new practice and be agile in implementing the necessary actions.
- Ensure clean audits and successful regulatory reviews.
- Develop and implement technology solutions for automation of existing manual reports and processes
- Assist the Market Ops head in driving the strategic agenda for automation with key focus on operational efficiency and quality delivery
- Work with teams to put in place a robust Risk and control governance mechanism for specific KRI’s
- Implement regional system to bring standardization in processes. Deliver on all local, regional, and global requirements that bring standardization and benchmark controls.
Be part of the Organisational Transformation:
- Work on Key strategic projects to meet the organisation goals.
- Collaborate and support the delivery of strategic platform re-engineering initiatives, with conscious intent to standardize and industrial flow, reducing manual touch points and aligning tech delivery vs. business goal and wallet share optimization
- Driving the implementation of initiatives to continuously improve STP rates and productivity, including the use of robotics, workflow and other innovative re-engineering techniques
Experience/ Skills/ Competencies:
- Candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA, with relevant work experience minimum 8 years and fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills and Fin-tech mindset
- Creative, confident and professional person with high-levels of drive, ambition and enthusiasm
- Self-driven and passionate to generate ideas and develop new skills
- Highly developed communication/presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
- Adept at managing senior stakeholders
- Ability to manage numerous deliverables in a timely and effective manner
- High business ethics and standards
