As our C# Software Engineer, you will be part of a team rewriting and developing applications that are critical to the reliability of the electric grid. Be part of an Agile environment, drive innovations that improve system availability, resilience and performance, and help resolve complex technical issues. You'll work with highly technical employees that have a deep understanding of the applications that support control-room operations which predict and monitor the conditions of the bulk electric system and give operators the data they need to make the best decisions possible.
As MISO's C# Software Engineer, you will:
- Write code that focuses on quality (high impact, low risk)
- Work with our internal users - enhance and develop applications and services to help them make good decisions when running the bulk electric system
- See your changes being implemented from inception to production
- Develop applications that integrate with other systems
- Be part of an on-call rotation team

We're looking for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, and the following experience:
- C# / .NET
- JS/TS, HTML, CSS, Angular
- Oracle database knowledge desirable, or other RDBMS
- Containers: Docker and Kubernetes
- Kafka or similar messaging/event frameworks
- Test Driven Development / Behavioral Driven Development
- At least 5 years of related software engineering experience
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
