To support our business, we are looking for a C# Software Developer.

 

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our team and to take ownership of the development software applications for supporting Datacolor instruments.

Software Developers at Datacolor are responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining our products. This specific position requires ability to develop and maintain desktop applications, read, understand, and debug existing application code, and write code needed to create new functionality, having high regards for the user interface.

To support these activities, this position requires a strong coder and persistent problem solver, who has desire to take pride in overall product and code quality, solve challenging problems and learn new skills as the need arises.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Software Development: contribute to design, develop, maintain and support software applications with a modern (C# / .Net) enterprise architecture. Contribute to the maintenance of instrument APIs written in C++
  • Software Quality: commitment to delivering high-quality and thoroughly tested releases.
  • Product Ownership: collaborate with internal support team and external clients and take on product owner duties as needed to understand and fulfill specific client requirements.
  • Project Management: utilize provided information and appropriate frameworks to develop time estimates and drive development activities to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest industry technologies.

Experience & Qualifications:

You have: 

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science computer or software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Multiple years of experience in software development for industrial applications used in technical environments. Excellent coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven professional expertise in C# and C++. 
  • Experience using WinForms, .Net framework, Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (with Git). AWS experience is a plus.
  • Experience developing user-friendly GUIs and maintaining existing look and feel as new features are added.
  • Ability to create and maintain installers and software packages.
  • Desire to automate testing in the interest of development efficiency and product quality
  • Understanding of enterprise data management and lifecycle, data protection and security principles
  • Certification in Microsoft technologies is a plus

Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.  
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks autonomously. 
  • Fluent English language, both oral and written, is a must.

This role is a hybrid role, based in our Reggio Emilia office, Italy.

Salary Range:
Total compensation budget between
 35,000 - 52,000 gross per year.
