Our reporting product, Portfolio Publisher, offers a fully customizable managed reporting solution that integrates FactSet Analytics data with client-specific proprietary data, tailored to meet our clients' unique requirements. Our team is also responsible for the delivery of FactSet Analytics data via reports, flat files, business intelligence tools and APIs.

What You'll Do 

We are seeking a Software Engineer with C# programming experience to join our Buy-Side Reporting Client and Managed Services team in São Paulo as a Technology Consultant. In this role, you will support FactSet’s Publisher tool, a client-facing reporting solution within our market-data workstation product. You will contribute to the ongoing development and support of our reporting services application, working closely with clients, sales, product specialists, and other software engineers to deliver tailored reporting solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to help enhance the Publisher product line, participate in initiatives to support business growth, and play a key role in shaping the future of our reporting offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement C# software code for high-quality reporting solutions that meet client needs, following best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients using the Publisher application, assisting them to achieve their goals by making optimal use of the Publisher tool.
  • Collaborate with other software engineers to identify, resolve bugs, and test product enhancements in the tool.
  • Maintain clear and transparent communication with clients, the Publisher team, and FactSet Global Client Services throughout the implementation process of the Publisher tool.
  • Provide product expertise in various settings, lending support and insights when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Sales, Strategy) to contribute to product enhancements, new features, and the integration of cross-platform FactSet Solutions.

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Mathematics.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience as a software engineer supporting production applications.
  • Proficiency in C# programming language, HTML, and general programming principles.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability associated to software engineering/development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with financial instruments or reporting software.
  • Understanding of Razor in C#.
  • Basic SQL database language knowledge.
  • Knowledge of client-server-database architecture.
