• Monitor parts lists and plate lists across multiple vessels and ensure work assignments are properly prioritized and distributed among lofting coordinators.

• Coordinate with Material Processing to ensure nesting, burn schedules, and production requirements are aligned with fabrication needs.

• Support and maintain nested part data and production outputs used by CNC cutting equipment, including Messer burn tables.

• Establish quality control processes, review procedures, and verification checklists to ensure lofting outputs are complete, accurate, and production-ready.

• Resolve drawing discrepancies, part location issues, design conflicts, and other lofting-related production challenges.

• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Structural Engineering, Planning, and Production teams to support constructability, fabrication efficiency, and overall build strategy.

• Serve as the primary interface for lofting software databases, nesting systems, and production support tools.

• Interview, hire, train, mentor, and develop lofting personnel, including apprenticeship and workforce development initiatives.

• Manage department workload, staffing requirements, performance metrics, and resource allocation.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, digital shipbuilding, and process standardization.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and production objectives.

• Support production planning meetings and provide leadership regarding schedule risks, manpower needs, and department priorities.
