Working in the Arbortext Business Unit within PTC to deliver solutions in our Authoring and Publishing team. The role will be involved across the whole of the development lifecycle from requirements to implementation, maintenance and operations. Collaborating both locally and remotely across a variety of applications including desktop application, clients and web services.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of new feature work and improvements to existing application features
- Performing Code Reviews on Peer and Cross team submissions
- Collaborating with QA to ensure we deliver testable, secure solutions
- Demonstrating and presenting work to colleagues and Product Management
- Working with other product teams to deliver cross product functionality and ensure interoperability
- Maintaining the existing code base working on bug reports
- Communicating and collaborating with Technical Support to provide solutions to customer issues
- Maintaining and extending our build and test framework
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both in a team environment and independently
- C/C++ and Java languages
- XML, XSLT, SGML
- Jenkins, Gradle and Maven
- Javascript with Python and Groovy an advantage
- Experience in Software Design and threat modelling
- Knowledge of Git an advantage
- Knowledge of Visual Studio and Eclipse an advantage
Experience:
- 4 to 7 years’ experience working in a commercial development environment
- Working with an existing C/C++ codebase
- Experience of Agile development methodologies an advantage
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
