What You Would Work On:
Our teams support software solutions for R&D, services, and support for Electrification Software’s products while liaising with stakeholders and customers all around the globe. The developer will play a key role in implementing and maintaining optimization-based features for Electricity Market Management Systems (MMS), with a specific focus on Flow-Based Market Coupling (FBMC).

We provide flexible software solutions for evolving markets that have complex market rules and differing regulatory and legislative compliance to follow. We deliver very large, interconnecting software systems that span multiple countries and regions.
We deliver Market Management System solutions designed around a modern architecture that supports product-based modules. These modules are reusable and can be easily implemented in a short amount of time to meet tight regulatory deadlines.
What you will do
- Join an R&D team working on a critical product used in electricity markets;
- Work as part of an agile development team, participating in all aspects of the development process and product lifecycle;
- Involved in all development phases that include solution design & architecture, development, documentation, unit testing, integration and acceptance testing;
- Technology watch, evaluation of tools and frameworks that answer product’s needs;
- Work with business experts to translate functional requirements into technical tasks;
- Write specification documents, architecture and data-model schemas;
- Architectural pattern choices, modules and (micro)services APIs, DB model, optimizations in build, packaging, configuration management, deployment, etc;
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation;
- Learn and apply new technologies when required;
- Write code with consideration for continuous integration & delivery;
- Task planning, follow-up, reporting.
Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Background in mathematical optimization algorithms
- Experience in the Electricity Market field is a plus.
Mandatory
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining software solutions in the energy or optimization domain, preferably as part of a collaborative development team.
- Proficiency in C++ programming. Additional experience in any other modern programming languages is highly valued (Python).
- Strong foundation in optimization algorithms and their applications, particularly in the context of mathematical modeling and computational problem-solving.
- Experience working in Linux-based development environments, including command-line tools and shell scripting.
- Experience with DevOps and Agile methodology.
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub, test automation frameworks, and continuous integration systems.
- Familiarity with Docker, including containerized deployment and service orchestration is a plus
Abilities:
- Experience working with international distributed teams across multiple locations.
- Process and methodology oriented.
- Excellent people skills, with a proven ability to communicate within a team; experience with offshore teams is essential.
- Highly collaborative with the ability to work across the organization.
- Capacity to promote continuous improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical designs and solutions to customers.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
