Position Overview: 

EcoATM Gazelle is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the acquisition, planning, and delivery of commodities and products critical to our operations. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and cross-functional partners to ensure on-time delivery, cost-effective procurement, and efficient inventory management, all while supporting EcoATM Gazelle’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Drive performance to meet world-class standards in Supplier Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS). Develop and manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with EcoATM's business goals and sustainability practices.
  • Procurement & Planning: Manage the planning, ordering, and delivery of components, products, and services, ensuring on-time delivery to support EcoATM's operations. Collaborate with other teams to manage material flows and optimize inventory to meet demand.
  • Inventory Management: Closely monitor and analyze inventory levels to maximize inventory turns while minimizing exposure to obsolescence. Implement strategies for inventory reduction and optimize material usage to align with production and recycling needs.
  • Contract Negotiation: Review, analyze, develop, and negotiate procurement contracts to support EcoATM’s supply chain. Prepare and execute cost price analysis for supplier agreements, balancing cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Quality teams to ensure alignment with production schedules, new product developments, and continuous process improvements.
  • Data and Cost Analysis: Review and compile inventory costing records, including Purchase Price Variance (PPV), scrap, and rework costs. Provide cost analysis for supplier partnerships, ensuring optimal spend and savings opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist in supplier development and improvement efforts to ensure EcoATM Gazelle maintains a high level of supplier performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with sustainability standards.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to company processes, ISO standards, and environmental guidelines in procurement and inventory management activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree in a related field AND a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain planning, with a focus on electronics, materials, or related industries.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII) or Master Production Schedule (MPS) processes, with experience in procurement software (ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) or CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in electronics recycling, repair, or manufacturing environments is a plus.

Compensation: $55,000 - 65,000/yr 
 
Location: Louisville, KY (onsite) 

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per CA SB 1162 (“CA Pay Transparency Law”). Base pay information is based on market location. Learn more about ecoATM benefits here.

This position may also be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives based on individual and company performance.
