Renishaw is leader in delivering high accuracy metrology solutions to industrial, medical, and scientific processes around the world. As part of the Manufacturing Services Division the Procurement Department is regularly presented with new and exciting requirements.
An opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join our procurement team to support corporate demand for indirect goods and services for our large multi-site R&D/manufacturing/commercial organisation.

The candidate will be part of a team primarily based at Head Office in our Wotton-under-Edge site in Gloucestershire (GL12 8JR), with opportunities to be involved with a wide range of products, commodities, and suppliers from around the world.
Responsibilities
Collaborate in a small team and assist the wider Procurement Group to deliver efficient purchasing techniques & encourage best practice
Commercially focused negotiation with suppliers to ensure cost management targets are realised
Assist in creating, implementing and managing supplier contracts
Assist with the delivery of cost reduction opportunities whilst negotiating terms and conditions to achieve best price and quality
Identifying risks and providing support to implement solutions to manage/mitigate them
Assist in key projects as part of a cross-functional team, representing the commercial needs of the business.
Key requirements
Experience developing supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Experience and knowledge of negotiation with suppliers to meet organisational targets.
Experience of purchasing across a variety of categories, including but not limited to Capital equipment, hardware/software, maintenance & support services
Understanding of the various approaches and strategies to commodity purchasing, working in line with functional requirements to meet departmental objectives and KPIs
Able to demonstrate a high standard of ethics and integrity within a challenging environment
Able to demonstrate proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office etc.)
CIPS qualification or relevant STEM/Business Degree would be advantageous, but not essential
Enthusiastic, self-driven, determined, persuasive and thorough in approach and capable of working independently and in a team environment

As the successful applicant for this position, you'll be a commercial, strategic thinker, who’s resolute in owning, identifying, reporting, and creatively resolving gaps in supply. You’ll have an eye for detail, be a confident communicator and someone who can convey complex information in a simple way. You’ll also thrive on building strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence decision making.
