In this role you will be responsible for and manage MRO purchasing and supplier relationship management.
Job Description- Manage the order fulfillment process including purchase order entry, purchase order administration, and expediting incoming product
- Responsible for the creation and setup of new vendor master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor purchase order delivery dates to ensure alignment with supply chain schedules and customer requirements
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts and build and maintain strong relationships
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking, and manage reorder points
- Analyze market trends to make cost-effective purchasing decisions and manage budgets
- Execute the purchase order tracking process and ensures purchase orders are processed in accordance with the organization’s customer satisfaction and performance standards
- Proactively communicate changes in material needs, lead times, or inventory levels to support agile decision-making across the supply chain
- Track changes in business needs and adjust order quantities to support business increases or decreases
- Facilitate process improvement, streamlining of costs, to increase the quality of procurement, logistics, and materials management
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or commensurate years’ of experience in a Buyer / Purchaser role
- Several years of experience as Buyer / Purchaser and / or Inventory Planning within a manufacturing related environment
- Experience in vendor management
- Efficient in using MS Office products
- SAP, ERP experience preferred but not required
- Fluent English skills
