The Buyer/Planner role is responsible for and manages purchasing, materials requirements planning, supplier relationship management, product life cycle, service support and engineering change order management.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes sales forecasts, order history and statistical modeling to generate a primary demand plan.
  • Reviews backlog, output from demand plan and contractual obligations and places purchase orders as appropriate in support of the plan.
  • Establishes planning and purchasing parameters to support objectives for customer fill rate and inventory on hand.
  • Resolves most supply/demand issues independently, recognizes out of control supply/demand situations and escalates as needed.
  • Achieves annual supply chain goals of on time delivery, inventory turns, cost reductions and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with internal (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics) and external (Suppliers) stakeholders to improve Entrust’s operating results.
  • Generates purchase orders through the ERP system; monitors and adjusts them to maximize quality and service level while minimizing inventory.
  • Reacts to daily shortages, ERP reschedules, and adjusts purchase orders accordingly.
  • Resolves delivery and/or quality issues through problem solving and supplier performance improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years’ purchasing or planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Mgmt or Supply Chain
  • Advanced understanding of supply chain replenishment techniques such as vendor managed inventories, consigned inventories and advanced stocking points
  • Purchasing / Planning experience working in a fast-paced Global Supply Chain environment
  • Working knowledge of Oracle MRP

Compensation Range:


The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $77,222-$113,259 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
