Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Buyer Planner to join our procurement team. In this role, you will own the raw material forecasts and supply plans, manage order placement and follow-up, and provide excellent service to the plant to drive manufacturing. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in planning, procurement, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Raw Material Forecasting & Supply Planning:
    • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for raw material and packaging requirements.
    • Create supply plans to ensure timely availability of materials.
    • Frequently monitor demand trends and adjust supply plans
    • Focus on ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules and support manufacturing efficiency.
  • Order Management:
    • Place purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner based on forecasts and supply plans.
    • Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise.
    • Ensure that order placements align with production needs and plant schedules.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, balancing cost and service levels.
    • Coordinate with relevant departments to manage inventory discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
  • Collaboration & Service Focus:
    • Work closely with suppliers, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
    • Maintain a strong focus on providing excellent service to the plant to drive manufacturing success.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a planning role within procurement, supply chain, or a related function.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with Dynamics 365 is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address challenges proactively

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
