The Buyer Intern will support the procurement team in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods essential for our manufacturing operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in supply chain management within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities
* Assist in the research and identification of potential suppliers for various raw materials, components, and services.
* Support the creation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
* Help maintain supplier databases and procurement records, including pricing, lead times, and performance metrics.
* Participate in the evaluation of supplier quotes and proposals to identify cost-effective solutions.
* Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, quality control) to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
* Assist in tracking and expediting orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any potential delays.
* Conduct basic market research to identify trends in pricing, product availability, and new technologies.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of procurement processes and procedures.
* Perform other administrative and supportive tasks as assigned by the procurement team.
 

Required Skills and Education

Job Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* A strong interest in manufacturing operations and supply chain processes.
* Prior experience or coursework in procurement or supply chain is a plus, but not required.
