Baxter Manufacturing, a division of ITW-Food Equipment Group, has an opening for a Buyer III position in the Supply Chain Department. This position is on-site and in the heart of the valley of Orting, WA off of State Route 162 and Orville Road.

Job Description
Scope and Function:
- Responsible for target setting, MRD review and purchase order issuance
- Strategically review purchasing history, demand, and current strategy and make modifications as needed to the ordering process to positively affect inventory, KPIs and desired pricing metrics.
- Review production schedules to ensure the availability of materials.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies to ensure timely flow of materials.
- Manage MOH, Slow moving, and Obsolete inventory to achieve annual reduction goals and reach ITW metric targets.
- Supports and/or completes medium to high level complex material procurement and purchasing tasks/projects as assigned to meet business objectives and sourcing targets for ITW.
- Provide on-going cost reduction and cost savings opportunities through new sources or by working with current suppliers.
- Provide timely/accurate information regarding analysis of market trends, scrap, index pricing, capacity, quality, cost reduction activity, new vendor performance, effects on manufacturing costs coupled with options to reduce negative impact.
- Coordinate data, tasks, and projects with the Corporate Strategic Sourcing department. This also includes monthly reporting in the ITW Sourcing Project Tracker and KPIs for this group.
- Work on specialty regulatory projects including USMCA, Conflict Minerals, and Supply Chain Integrity programs.
- Assist in PLS & 80/20 Activities to minimize our purchasing tail, determine better purchasing strategies, and identify potential improvements to our supply chain department.
- Perform administrative tasks such as cycle counts, invoice verification, and resolution of receipts.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Minimum 8+ years’ experience in purchasing or similar role combined with associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Travel less than 10% of the time
- Hands on testing and/or troubleshooting
- Office and Plant floor environment
- Ability Lifting up to 50 lbs
