Job Description

What will you do!

  • Manage a portfolio of products and suppliers.
  • Optimize customer happiness/service levels and inventory investment.
  • Lead and optimize supplier delivery performance calls!
  • Improve the quality of inventory by reducing exposure to non-productive/D&E inventory.
  • Ensure service level targets (fill rate and availability) are met.
  • Follow the inventory plan and meet DoH targets.
  • Lead all purchasing and associated operational aspects of inventory management.
  • Establish and build effective relationships with key suppliers and collaborators within the business.
  • Complete purchase orders for a portfolio of suppliers following the planning and scheduling calendar.
  • Track shipments of purchase orders and take necessary actions in case of unusual delay.
  • Lead the data flow through each stage of a purchase order.
  • Adopt and participate in PPI initiatives to identify improvements and cost savings.
  • Track indicators of dead/excess stock and take necessary actions to reduce them.
  • Manage the processing of delivery issues from suppliers.
  • Maintain a high level of internal customer service, supporting customer services and other business functions when required.
  • Handle implications of short dated stock, supplier contract conditions, and compliance/regulatory issues.
What we looking for:
  • Knowledge and experience of purchasing/inventory management in a distribution environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of inventory management systems and methods.
  • MS Excel intermediate level.
  • Data manipulation and analytical ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with internal/external business partners.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Sense of urgency and priority.
  • Proven ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution.
