Purpose: The Business Unit Manager - Oncology is responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational excellence, and commercial success of the hematology business unit. This leadership role manages and motivates the marketing and sales teams, as well as cross-functional teams including access and medical affairs, to achieve business goals and maximize market impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the business unit strategy for oncology, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market opportunities.

  • Team Management: Lead, inspire, and develop high-performing marketing and sales teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture. Under their responsibility: Product Managers, Sales Manager, 1 and Sales Representatives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate and oversee the activities of access and medical affairs teams, promoting effective communication and integrated solutions.

  • Commercial Execution: Drive sales growth through targeted marketing initiatives, competitive positioning, and effective resource allocation.

  • Market Analysis: Monitor hematology market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, payers, and patient organizations.

  • Validate, together with SFE, the sales quota and incentive plan each quarter.

  • Budget Management: Oversee business unit budgets, ensuring optimal investment and cost control across all functions.

  • Compliance: Ensure all business activities adhere to regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven leadership experience managing marketing, sales, and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of access and medical affairs functions.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive commercial success in a competitive environment.

  • Advanced level of English.

Preferred

  • Experience in high specialty care, innovative medicines, rare diseases, immunology, oncology, neuroscience or other specialized therapeutic areas.

  • Significant experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, healthcare, or related industries

  • Experience supporting or leading product launches and launch readiness initiatives.

  • Experience leading commercial teams including marketing, sales, or field-based organizations.

  • Experience working within highly regulated healthcare environments.

  • Experience managing multi-level commercial organizations, including field-based teams.
