About this Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Unit Controller to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. They will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting and reporting process to ensure accurate financial results and disclosures.

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Responsible for all aspects of our accounting and reporting process to ensure accurate financial results and disclosures.
  2. Perform monthly balance sheet and P&L reviews and conduct monthly business updates with members of senior leadership.
  3. Prepare and/or review journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts under direct responsibility.
  4. Analyzes revenues and expenses and prepares variance reports to help drive accountability and cost reduction strategies.
  5. Can navigate through a large amount of ambiguity, drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholders, clearly communicate dependencies, and manage/track expectations.
  6. Demonstrate crisp communication skills, have experience communicating project status to a broad audience, and be willing to follow appropriate escalation channels to ensure delivery as planned.
  7. Understand internal control design concepts to assess the effectiveness of controls and design new effective processes and controls for growing business activities and potential acquisitions.
  8. Per standard procedures, Complete various basic accounting tasks, including A/R, A/P, payroll, and fixed asset oversight. Identify opportunities for process improvement strategies, including consolidation of multiple entities into a single accounting system and procedures to improve the financial integrity of the financial results.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of GAAP
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a mid-size or large company with a proven record of successful delivery
  • Experience in accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules 
  • Excellent Excel skills 
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience

Role Logistics

  • This is a full-time position
  • This position allows for a remote work location.
  • This position may require travel to industry events, Network Coverage office locations, and events with variable locations.
  • Classification: Exempt
