Manage the Phoenix Ultrasound production facility to reach defined targets in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Will coordinate and set priorities for manufacturing/support teams and manage overall site performances. Regularly leverages continuous improvement to improve performance and standards.
This position manages a team of non-salaried and salaried employees (production supervisors). Will actively provide development opportunities to the team and search out ways to improve their contributions. Will promote accountability throughout the organization.
Requires specialized knowledge within the functions that they own. Influences the development of strategy, control of resources and policy formulation.
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, equipment, product management, manufacturing, technology, and/or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at root causes.
Will own projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain is required or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of manufacturing or operations manager experience.
Demonstrates strong leadership skills through driving continuous improvement
Proficient at applying line management techniques to achieve output targets (i.e., line balancing, WIP scheduling, target setting, constraint management, pull system)
Experience leading shifts to meet/exceed key initiatives (6S, output, yield, cost)
Proven ability to think analytically and solve problems
Proficient at data analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience managing a facility with 100+ hourly workers
Ability to motivate team to develop innovative ideas resolving business or projects related issues
Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task
Team player that thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, Power Point)
Proficient at personnel management (hiring/selection, performance reviews, discipline, and legal compliance requirements)
A Master’s degree in business administration or engineering
Experience working in Healthcare, semi-conductor and/or aviation fast paced manufacturing environments
Black belt or green belt certification in Lean/Six Sigma
