About the Role
F5 is looking for a HR Systems Analyst III to join our team within the F5 Digital Organization. In this role, you will be a key contributor in designing, implementing, and optimizing Workday solutions and processes that support Sales Compensation programs. You will work at the intersection of business and technology, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, efficient solutions.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday and Sales Compensation systems, processes, and data flows
- Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations teams
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation
- Partner with engineering and development teams to design, test, and implement system enhancements and new capabilities
- Support the end-to-end sales compensation lifecycle, including plan configuration, calculations, reporting, and payouts
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement within compensation operations
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including business process flows, data dictionaries, and system configuration guides
- Lead and facilitate working sessions, sprint reviews, and stakeholder meetings
- Define and execute UAT (User Acceptance Testing) plans, and coordinate testing with business stakeholders
- Support integrations between Workday and adjacent systems such as ServiceNow, Oracle EBS, and other enterprise applications
- Respond to, and help manage incidents. Participate in RCA activities and assist with defining SLOs and SLIs for business stakeholders
- Available for escalations outside office hours
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, ideally in a technology or SaaS company
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday, particularly in HCM or related modules
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business conversations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Experience writing user stories, use cases, and functional specifications
Required
- Experience with Sales Compensation programs, incentive plan design, or commission processing
- Experience with API integrations or familiarity with integration platforms
- Experience with Workday Integrations, Workday Extend, or Workday Studio
Preferred
- Familiarity with compensation tools such as Varicent, Xactly, Anaplan, or similar
Technical Skills & Technologies
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with some or all of the following:
- Workday — HCM, Integrations, Reporting
- T-SQL / SQL Server — writing and analyzing queries for data investigation, reporting, and validation
- REST APIs — familiarity with API integration patterns and troubleshooting
