Robert Half is seeking a Business Systems Analyst II to join our Applications, Technology and Innovation group. Our team builds on and supports the HCM, Payroll, Benefits and Time modules, currently in PeopleSoft 9. A critical integration that the team built and supports are APIs integrating PeopleSoft Time functionality with our Native Mobile App and in the near-future with a Salesforce-based web client.
What You'll Do
- Provide solutions in support of the current production systems including applying judgement when investigating and resolving more complex user questions.
- Creates complex ad hoc reports or queries in support of system functionality or user requirements.
- Implements new business processes to support system defect fixes, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Partners with support groups to provide integrated system support. Oversees and provides guidance to more junior Business Systems Analysts in all day-to-day application and production issues.
- Provides post-implementation support and enhancement/bug documentation as needed.
- Prepares, initiates, and drives customer training as needed. May provide maintenance and configuration of User tables.
- Documents business requirement for medium to complexed enhancement or defect/fix
- Creates Test Plan and Test Cases in accordance with RH procedures.
- Communicates Business Requirements for medium to complexed enhancements/defects as required to other BSAs or SWEs
- Perform Unit/System Testing as required for medium to complexed enhancements/defects; ensure test results are evaluated as Pass/Fail and documented.
- May implement system/configuration changes medium to complexed enhancements/defects.
- Develops system documentation and requirements in the design of new simple to medium systems or enhancements.
- Creates functional and system requirements for medium scale changes, potentially including propose screen layouts, validation requirements and error messages.
- Assesses upstream and downstream impacts of system changes and communicates with other departments/team to ensure an integrated solution.
- Ensures that business processes, policies, and procedures are supported by proposed System solutions.
- Documents different options for solutions.
- Identifies alternatives to solve business problems and proposes business processes and procedure modifications as needed.
- Works with the business development and QS teams to confirm solutions meet business requirements.
- Participates in or sometimes leads special projects. Collaborates with technical resources to resolve complex system issues. Ensures application systems are aligned with user needs, may exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on small to medium special assignments. Leads small to medium projects on functionally area.
What You'll Need
- AA or Certification degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of business functional area experience, including
- 3+ years' experience with Business Applications
- Experience in PeopleSoft HCM and/or Time and Labor preferred.
- Experience in ERP/SaaS for HCM/Payroll/Time or knowledge of multiple enterprise applications preferred.
- PeopleSoft Upgrade Experience preferred.
- MS Office Suite, Security administration, strong SQL knowledge, complete SDLC experience, Java / .Net experience. Relevant business acumen. , functional experience: (Visio, Collaboration Tools - Talking, Video, Virtual Meetings),
- Working knowledge of enterprise level application
- Ability to interact and communicate with customers of varying levels of expertise
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Ability to communicate business process to technical resources
- Ability to create complex process flow diagrams or flowcharts that demonstrate business or system process flow
- Ability to gather requirements effectively; document requirements and confirm observations with business owners

- Ability to create detailed and thorough test plans for medium-sized initiatives

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
$77,000.00 - $113,000.00We offer exceptional earning potential and a competitive benefits package, including group health insurance benefits (medical, vision, dental), FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave of up to 6 weeks, and short/long term disability.
