The Business Systems Analyst II supports the analysis, documentation, and delivery of technology solutions that enable business objectives and operational processes. Working in partnership with business stakeholders, IT teams, SAP functional and technical resources, and senior analysts, this role assists with requirements gathering, process analysis, solution evaluation, testing, and implementation activities. This role may support SAP environments, including FI-CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) and FS-CD (Financial Services Contract Accounting), and will progressively develop knowledge of SAP capabilities, financial processes, integrations, and business analysis practices through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship.
Essential Functions:
- Support requirements elicitation and documentation activities by gathering business needs and assisting in the development of requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and other analysis artifacts.
- Analyze business processes, system impacts, data flows, and upstream/downstream dependencies with appropriate guidance on more complex initiatives.
- Support SAP-related initiatives by documenting business requirements, evaluating impacts, and assisting with solution implementation and issue resolution activities.
- Create and maintain business analysis artifacts, including process flows, requirements documentation, traceability records, training materials, operational procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Support stakeholder meetings and workshops by preparing materials, documenting decisions, tracking action items, and coordinating follow-up activities.
- Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, quality assurance resources, architects, SAP functional and technical teams, and dependent system teams to clarify requirements and support solution delivery.
- Assist with impact analysis for system changes, integrations, business processes, financial operations, timelines, and downstream applications.
- Support traceability between business requirements, testing activities, and delivered solutions.
- Support testing and validation activities by reviewing acceptance criteria, participating in test planning, validating outcomes, and documenting defects, issues, or gaps.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance business processes, system effectiveness, operational efficiency, and data quality.
- Maintain a continuous learning mindset and actively build knowledge of SAP, finance operations, managed care processes, business analysis practices, and delivery methodologies.
- Perform any other job related duties as requested.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
- Three (3) years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, technology delivery, enterprise applications, finance operations, or a related field required
- Prior SAP experience, including FI-CO, FS-CD, S/4HANA, or related enterprise financial systems preferred
- Managed care, healthcare, finance, billing, payment processing, or accounting experience preferred
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery frameworks preferred
- Working knowledge of business analysis methodologies, requirements documentation, process modeling, stakeholder engagement, and solution delivery practices.
- Foundational understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, data flows, system interfaces, and software development lifecycle concepts.
- Ability to develop knowledge of SAP financial and billing processes, including FI-CO, FS-CD, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract accounting, collections, and related integrations.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to identify, assess, and clarify business needs.
- Ability to evaluate information, document findings, organize work, manage priorities, and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and tools used for business analysis, requirements management, process documentation, diagramming, and collaboration.
- Ability to receive coaching, apply feedback, and assume increasing levels of responsibility and independence over time.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation Range:
$83,000.00 - $132,800.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
