PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $104,000.00-$126,900.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $80,800.00 - $150,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Business Support Manager at BECU, you’ll be the go-to strategic partner supporting senior leaders in the Operations division by ensuring the smooth execution of our department’s most important operational goals. You’ll bring clarity to complex projects, build efficient processes, and coordinate resources that directly impact how our teams operate and thrive. Whether it's streamlining communication, overseeing budgets, or driving performance improvements, your work will directly shape the success of our business and the experiences of our members and employees alike.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead Strategic Programs: Take ownership of programs that range from complex to moderately complex—managing them with autonomy and aligning them with key department goals.
  • Craft Executive-Level Messaging: Develop powerful presentations and communications for senior leadership and stakeholders—ensuring clarity, alignment, and engagement across internal and external audiences.
  • Enhance Vendor Partnerships: Support vendor strategy through risk analysis, contracting, and service level tracking—ensuring partnerships are aligned with business needs and compliance expectations.
  • Drive Data-Informed Decisions: Design and manage performance metrics and reporting tools to give leadership actionable insights into business operations.
  • Maintain Audit & Compliance Oversight: Ensure critical compliance and audit deliverables are accurately reported and delivered on time.
  • Partner on Budgeting & Planning: Collaborate with departmental leaders to guide annual planning and budgeting processes that support strategic goals.
  • Optimize Workforce Strategy: Assist in workforce planning and analytics, helping optimize staffing structures based on service needs and functional goals.
  • Lead Process Improvements: Identify and implement process changes that enhance service quality and support long-term strategic planning—particularly within IT and business operations.
  • Advise Senior Leadership: Serve as a trusted consultant to department leaders—evaluating current operations and recommending improvements that drive performance and efficiency.
  • Facilitate Seamless Collaboration: Act as a liaison among internal teams, business units, and external partners—ensuring communication flows smoothly and priorities stay aligned.
  • Jump In Where Needed: Take on additional responsibilities and adapt to evolving needs to support the department’s success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, communication or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum 5 years of experience developing or executing business strategy or business plans.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading or advising small size teams.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience creating executive level communications.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Excellent planning skills in both tactical and strategic planning.
  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and implement multiple technical and business-related projects.
  • Experience executing business strategy in an IT, project management, business support, or closely related environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of credit union policies, programs, procedures, and financial/accounting practices.
  • Experience with process improvement and facilitation.
  • Proficient PC skills.
