We are looking for a Business Support Consultant to join our team.
Working in the Strategic Partnering Team, you’ll play a key role in the Governance of our third-party suppliers and support the wider team to ensure adherence to the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) handbook. As part of this role, you will also support with invoicing and financial reconciliation, identifying opportunities to increase value to the Society.
You will schedule and produce documentation for our regular supplier governance, including monthly, quarterly, annual, and bi-annual activity, ensuring sessions are attended by the right internal and external stakeholders. You’ll record actions from formal governance sessions at all levels, as well as supporting activity in controls testing, contract renewals, service resilience, and cost management.
We’re looking for a proactive self-starter who’s confident and able to manage multiple recurring deadlines, document governance, and commercials clearly and accurately, and diligently track actions and ongoing requirements.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you’ll be doing
In this role, you will help coordinate a range of governance and commercial activities, ensuring processes are overseen effectively and transparently. You’ll need to manage diaries, create reporting documentation (including financial), and record clear meeting outcomes and actions to a high standard.
As part of this role, you’ll support month-end processes by ensuring journals are completed on time and costs are aligned to expectations. You’ll produce high-quality reporting with commentary, complete financial reconciliations, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies. In addition, you’ll ensure value-based benefits and service credits are effectively managed for our contracts.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for verifying that the information provided by our suppliers is accurate, relevant, and delivered on time, and use this to create reporting documentation. You will be required to produce clear and concise meeting outcomes and actions, and be able to use this information in internal stakeholder sessions that you will be involved with organising and creating content for.
This role also involves keeping our process library up to date, ensuring governance processes are overseen effectively and transparently and in full compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Alongside this, you will be required to respond promptly to ad hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders and take ownership of maintaining and developing a robust recordkeeping system to support strong governance across all partnerships.
About you
For this role, you will have/be:
Confident communicating with stakeholders and suppliers (both written and verbally)
Knowledge and experience in cost and financial management/modelling, and financial reconciliation
Able to analyse costs with a view to identifying trends that lead to Risk and Opportunities and track them ongoingly
A highly professional business attitude, being articulate, with a high attention to detail
Experience in proof-reading, taking actions, and consolidation of packs from various sources with accuracy
Able to work effectively as part of a team as well as on your own
A track record of working in a fast-paced environment and working to deadlines in an organised fashion
Good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Able to analyse costs with a view of identifying trends that lead to Risk and Opportunities and track them on an ongoing basis
