What you'll do
As a Business Control Officer, you’ll be complying with risk & compliance policies and procedures, including managing operational and regulatory risks ensuring these are identified, evaluated, reported and considered and where appropriate plans are implemented.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing reporting on the business controls environment, residual risks, issues and actions. Engaging with outsource providers on risk and regulatory matters
- Communicating and liaising with all management regarding mandatory and regulatory change
- Providing support to senior management with ad-hoc tasks and projects deemed business priority
- Identifying quality improvements to the business
- Developing and fostering working relationships with the senior management team, as well as internal and external audit bodies
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for an experienced officer with a heightened awareness of and exposure to operational risk management in a fast paced environment. You’ll need a broad understanding and experience of analysing regulatory changes, investigating incidents and identifying underlying issues, as we are evaluating compliance gaps and proposing practical solutions.
Additionally, you’ll need:
- Familiarity with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation techniques as well as knowledge of control design and effectiveness testing.
- The ability to analyse complex processes and identify material risk issues in order to simplify and create risk management solutions
- Strong influencing, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, and tailor the communication style to suit your audience
- Experience in a leadership environment, with the ability to inspire, coach and motivate others
- The ability to adhere to tight deadlines and manage your own workload, taking account of conflicting demands
- Knowledge of French language
