Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll help run what runs the world by providing essential business support to ABB's Critical Power facility in Napier. As our Business Support Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day business operations, delivering excellent customer service, coordinating site communications, and helping create a positive experience for employees, customers, and visitors.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support across the business and taking ownership of assigned administrative processes and activities.
- Assisting the Finance team with administrative tasks and business support activities as required.
- Coordinating internal communications, including site notices, electronic and static notice boards, organisational charts, and general business correspondence.
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and employees, delivering a professional and welcoming front-of-business experience.
- Managing incoming enquiries by phone and email, responding directly where appropriate and escalating matters when required.
- Providing confidential administrative support and coordination assistance across the business.
- Supporting payroll administration through the preparation and maintenance of daily, weekly, and monthly payroll data files.
- Coordinating travel, accommodation, catering, transport, and logistics for business activities and events.
- Assisting with customer visits, factory acceptance tests, training activities, and other site-based business events.
- Contributing to a positive workplace culture through exceptional customer service and collaboration.

Qualifications for the RoleYou don't need extensive experience - we're looking for the right attitude and willingness to learn:
- You've recently completed a diploma, or a degree (in any discipline). We welcome recent graduates and early-career professionals.
- You're comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Previous experience using SAP will be highly regarded If you need to build these skills, we'll support you.
- You have good written and verbal communication skills and can interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
- You're self-motivated and genuinely eager to learn - you ask questions, accept feedback, and want to develop new skills.
- You're organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- You have a positive, professional attitude and work well in a team.
- You hold a current, full, clean driver's licence valid in New Zealand.
- Applicants must have the right to work permanently in NZ, as this role will not sponsor a work visa.
