The Sales Executive will be responsible for growing and supporting business to business clients across the United Kingdom. Providing a consultative service, you will be responsible for attracting new clients and advising them on energy efficient business solutions.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Organise and manage yourself to produce a productive and effective output of data and appointments via bold and cold-calling
  • Outbound phone calls to potential customers to promote company products and services in line with customer requirements
  • Sell services over the phone and arrange face-to-face meetings with potential customers to ensure achievement of sales targets
  • Recognise and seek opportunities to up/cross-sell additional products and services that the business offers
  • Pro-actively build, manage, and maintain relationships with clients via face-to-face meetings
  • Operate and effectively manage our CRM database with all customer contact and information ensuring accurate records are maintained
  • Keep abreast of developments within the water and utility services markets, provide clients with accurate market information, and share new industry knowledge with colleagues.
  • Research and prepare information for prospect meetings to identify their requirements to assist with closing the sale
  • Review your own sales performance, ensuring your and the company’s targets are met or exceeded
  • Attend external seminars and conferences as and when required
  • Participate in ongoing training and development and regular performance reviews
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company
  • Adhere to Company and department standards, policies, and procedures to attain and maintain the required competency level to perform the role and to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly, with openness and honesty
  • Apply company values in all day-to-day activities
  • You must ensure strong relationships are maintained with colleagues inside and outside of the business, including but not limited to –
  • New and existing customers
  • Close working relationship with other members of your department
  • Colleagues on all levels of seniority within the business

Person specification (Background and skills):

Essential:

  • Previous experience of business to business selling, including business development is essential
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Willingness to travel across the UK is essential
  • Ability to build strong, long-lasting professional relationships
  • Experience of driving sales and new business initiatives

Desirable:

  • Good understanding of the UK energy and water management markets is desirable
